Levski Sofia prepares for Europa League clash against Viktoria Plzen

Levski Sofia is preparing for their Europa League group stage match against Viktoria Plzen at the Doosan Arena. Ahead of the fixture, midfielder Marko Grujic expressed confidence in the squad's depth and tactical preparation, stating that the team's goal is to advance to the knockout stages of the tournament.

Head coach Julio Velasquez noted that while player Akram Buras has fully recovered from a thigh injury and is included in the squad, he may not start immediately due to a lack of recent intensive training. Velasquez emphasized the difficulty of the matchup, describing Viktoria Plzen as a direct team that is well-structured to win second balls.

In club news, midfielder Akram Buras has reportedly agreed to a contract extension with Levski, potentially staying at the club until 2030. The new deal is expected to include a 5 million euro release clause.
