Levski Sofia seeks UEFA approval to lower Europa League ticket prices

Levski Sofia is seeking permission from UEFA to reduce ticket prices for its upcoming Europa League home matches. The club's management acknowledged that high pricing for European fixtures contributed to lower-than-expected attendance, noting that only approximately 9,000 fans purchased package tickets for the group stage matches against Salzburg, Jagiellonia, Lillestrøm, and AC Milan.

Executive Director Daniel Borimirov admitted the club made a mistake regarding the pricing strategy and expressed a desire to compensate fans. While the club intends to drastically lower prices for the next three international matches, they must obtain UEFA's approval because the prices previously submitted to the organization's headquarters in Nyon differ from the proposed reductions. High prices are expected to remain for the January match against AC Milan.

Supporter groups, including Ultras Levski and Sector B, have voiced strong opposition to the current pricing, labeling it a stance “against modern football.” Fans have expressed growing frustration, stating that while they support the team's competitive efforts on the pitch, their patience regarding financial matters is reaching its limit.
