Levski Sofia signs defender Petko Hristov from Spezia

Levski Sofia has officially announced the return of defender Petko Hristov to the club. The 27-year-old joins on loan from the Italian side Spezia until the end of 2026, with an option to extend the contract through the 2026/27 season.

Hristov, a former Levski youth player, returns to Bulgaria with extensive experience in Italian football. His career includes stints with Fiorentina, Ternana, Pro Vercelli, and Spezia, where he made 118 appearances. He also had a brief loan spell at Venezia in 2023.

A regular for the Bulgarian national team, Hristov has earned 22 senior caps and has represented the country across various youth levels. His arrival is expected to strengthen Levski's defense, potentially forming a partnership with captain Kristian Dimitrov.
