Levski Sofia stadium ban reduced for upcoming derby

The Bulgarian Football Union (BFS) Appellate Commission has reduced the disciplinary sanction imposed on Levski Sofia. Instead of a full closure of Sector A, the club will face a partial closure during its next home match, which is a derby against CSKA Sofia.

Spectators will be prohibited from entering blocks 9, 10, 11, and 12 of Sector A at the Vasil Levski National Stadium. The original penalty was issued following an incident during the Bulgarian Super Cup where a glass bottle was thrown at CSKA press officer Viktor Ignatov.

The commission noted that the partial closure accounts for the mandatory buffer zones required at the stadium and aims to ensure the penalty specifically affects the sections where the violation occurred. This decision is final and cannot be appealed.
