Levski Sofia to Adopt Single‑Tier Board at September Shareholders Meeting

Levski Sofia Football Club will hold an extraordinary shareholders meeting on 14 September 2026. The agenda includes a proposal to replace the current two‑tier governance structure with a single‑tier board of directors composed of five members. The plan also calls for the early termination of the existing Supervisory and Management Boards and the creation of an "honorary president" position, which is expected to be filled by majority owner Nasco Sirakov.

Economist Petar Ganev, a member of the club's control council, disclosed that the meeting will also consider a capital increase of up to €25 million through the issuance of new voting shares, and will provide details on the construction timeline for the new Georgi Asparuhov Stadium. Speculation has arisen that Sirakov may transfer a large portion of his shares to businessman Atanas Bostandzhiev, potentially altering the club’s ownership landscape.
