Levski Sofia to host Dunav Ruse in season‑opening league match

Dunav Ruse travel to Sofia for the first round of the Bulgarian First League on 17 July, facing defending champions Levski at Georgi Asparuhov Stadium. Coach Emmanuel Lukanov said the team is confident despite two recent signings – forward Jordan Saint‑Louis and winger Charles Apia – being unavailable because of documentation problems.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 21:15, with referee Kristiyan Nikolov Kolev and his assistants overseeing the game. Dunav left early for the capital, planning a later training session and a video analysis the following day. Lukanov praised Levski’s recent performances and noted that the champion side has a balanced squad, regardless of which players start. He added that his own side is healthy and hopes to surprise the “blues” with a strong display.
