Lewis Hamilton arrives at Monza in restored Ferrari F40

Lewis Hamilton made a high-profile arrival at the Monza paddock for the Italian Grand Prix, driving a recently restored 1991 Ferrari F40. The vehicle, which Hamilton described as a childhood dream, was discovered by Azimut AHE after sitting unused in a garage for over 30 years. Following its discovery, Ferrari’s specialist engineers in Maranello performed a multi-week restoration to return the car to its original condition.

As a Ferrari driver, Hamilton expressed his excitement about competing at the historic Monza circuit, noting that it is a ‘phenomenal’ experience to race for the iconic team in Italy. The 2026 season sees Hamilton in a competitive position, aiming for a historic victory that would make him the first driver to win at Monza with three different teams. The event also serves as a tribute to Michael Schumacher, marking 30 years since his first success with Ferrari at the track.
