Lewis Hamilton clinches first Ferrari win at Spanish Grand Prix amid Mercedes criticism

Lewis Hamilton secured his inaugural victory driving for Ferrari at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. The win came after a three‑stop tyre strategy that employed soft, hard and medium compounds, a plan praised by Pirelli’s motorsport director Dario Marrafuschi as a key factor in navigating the extreme track temperature of 53 °C and high tyre degradation.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff expressed strong disappointment with his own squad, condemning the reliability failures that saw Kimi Antonelli retire and George Russell withdraw, and criticizing the lack of clear team orders. Wolff said the team lost valuable points and must reassess its strategy to compete with Ferrari in the championship battle.
