Lewis Hamilton denies requesting Ferrari staff changes

Lewis Hamilton has publicly denied reports from Italian media, specifically Corriere della Sera, claiming he pressured Ferrari team principal Frederic Vasseur to replace trackside personnel. The rumors surfaced following a series of difficult races, including a retirement at the Spanish Grand Prix due to brake failure and on-track tensions with teammate Charles Leclerc at Monza.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Hamilton clarified, “I’ve never asked for anyone on my team to be replaced. Everyone I work with works hard every day, and their dedication is what moves us forward.” He emphasized his intention to empower and support his colleagues rather than seek structural changes.

While Hamilton denied requesting sackings, some technical shifts have occurred, such as the transition of race engineer Riccardo Adami to the Driver Academy and the arrival of new staff members. Ferrari management, including Vasseur, has also addressed strategic concerns, maintaining that recent decisions were made to maximize team performance rather than to create internal division.
