Lewis Hamilton revitalizes Ferrari campaign in 2026 F1 season

Following a challenging debut season in 2025, Lewis Hamilton has experienced a significant resurgence during the 2026 Formula 1 season with Ferrari. After struggling with technical issues and competition from teammate Charles Leclerc in his first year, Hamilton has benefited from the new engine regulations and improvements to the SF-26, which better suits his driving style.

As of the summer break, Hamilton sits in second place in the Drivers' Championship with 169 points, trailing leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli by 50 points. He has demonstrated exceptional consistency, becoming the only driver on the grid to score points in every race of the season so far. His campaign includes a notable victory at the Spanish Grand Prix, achieved through a bold three-stop strategy, and several podium finishes in China, Canada, Monaco, and Silverstone.

Former F1 drivers Gerhard Berger and Emerson Fittipaldi have praised Hamilton's recovery and his ability to remain competitive at the highest level despite the difficulties faced during his transition to the Scuderia.
