Álex Cabrera to professionalize Venezuelan Coleo Federation

Álex Cabrera, the newly elected president of the Venezuelan Coleo Federation (Feveco), has announced his intention to improve the organization and discipline of the national sport. Drawing inspiration from his experience in professional baseball in Japan, Cabrera aims to transform coleo into a highly organized and professional spectacle.

During the 2026 National Sports Games of the Bar Association in San Cristóbal, Cabrera also expressed his intent to propose that competitions held during these games be officially included in the Feveco calendar. He argued that these participants should be recognized as national champions, noting that they train year-round and deserve formal athletic status similar to other competitive categories.
