After medical checks, Márquez was declared fit to race on Saturday but chose to skip qualifying and start the sprint from the back row, eventually finishing 13th. He explained his missing left glove, saying it was his own mistake in tightening it. Team‑mate Fermín Aldeguer also crashed that day and was ruled out of the weekend with a fractured vertebra.
