Lexus develops RX Morizo RR high-performance SUV prototype

Lexus is reportedly developing a high-performance version of the RX SUV, designated as the Morizo RR. A prototype of the vehicle has been photographed, revealing design elements intended to compete with luxury models such as the BMW X5 M and Audi RS Q8.

The prototype features several performance-oriented modifications, including widened wheel arches, aggressive air intakes, and Brembo brakes with perforated discs. It is equipped with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires, specifically sized 265/40 at the front and 295/35 at the rear.

Under the hood, the Morizo RR is expected to utilize a hybrid powertrain capable of producing over 600 horsepower. This system may feature a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine, internally known as the G20E, designed to meet Euro 7 emission standards. The model is projected to arrive around 2028.
