Lexus expands electrified ES sedan lineup in India and Vietnam

Lexus is expanding its electrified vehicle lineup with the introduction of the eighth-generation ES sedan in key markets. In India, Lexus India has launched the all-new ES 350h, a self-charging hybrid manufactured locally. The model features a 2.5-litre petrol engine paired with a new hybrid system and lithium-ion battery, offering a claimed fuel efficiency of 25.22 km/l. The vehicle includes updated technology such as a 14-inch touchscreen and the Lexus Safety System+.

In Vietnam, the brand plans to introduce the ES lineup in 2026, which will include both the hybrid 350h and the all-electric ES 500e. The ES 500e marks the first time the brand will offer a battery electric vehicle (BEV) in the Vietnamese market. The new generation of the ES features a larger footprint, increased dimensions, and a redesigned interior focused on a minimalist, high-tech aesthetic with reduced mechanical buttons.
