Lexus introduces 2027 GX with upgraded interior features

Lexus has introduced the 2027 GX for the United States market, focusing on interior upgrades and enhanced convenience features. While the exterior design remains unchanged, the new model includes the SmartAccess automatic door system as standard across all six available versions. Higher trim levels, such as the Luxury, Luxury+, and Overtrail+ models, now feature ventilation for the second-row seats.

The 2027 GX is priced between $69,100 and $85,000, representing a slight increase of $600 to $1,600 per version compared to previous models. The vehicle retains its 3.4L twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 349 horsepower and 649 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It maintains a maximum towing capacity of 4,126 kg.

The price increase is attributed to rising costs, potentially including a 15% import tariff on vehicles manufactured at Toyota’s Tahara plant in Japan. Toyota has previously noted significant financial pressures from US tariffs and rising raw material costs, specifically for aluminum and electronic components.
