Lexus retires LC 500 V8 Grand Tourer with limited Special Edition in Australia

Lexus announced the retirement of the LC 500 grand tourer in Australia, marking the end of its naturally aspirated V8 powerline in the market. To commemorate the model's exit, the company released a limited LC500 Special Edition Coupe, previewed at the Melbourne Cup in October 2025. The special edition features a matte‑grey “Oborogin” exterior, black‑white interior, 21‑inch alloy wheels, black exterior accents and a fixed rear spoiler.

The Australian allocation for the special edition has already been exhausted, with no pricing disclosed. The vehicle retains the 5.0‑litre V8 engine delivering 351 kW and 540 Nm, mated to a 10‑speed automatic transmission. Only a small, unspecified number of units were produced, with the Japanese‑market Pinnacle edition limited to 100 units. The LC500h hybrid variant did not receive a special‑edition treatment.
