Lexus RX Morizo RR prototype spotted testing in Europe
Prototypes for a high-performance Lexus RX Morizo RR have been spotted undergoing testing in Europe. This upcoming model appears to be a significant departure from the standard luxury-focused RX lineup, aiming to compete with high-performance European SUVs such as the BMW X5 M and Audi RS Q8.
Technical specifications observed on the prototype include a widened track with fender extensions, a lowered suspension, and a specialized wheel-and-tire package featuring Michelin Pilot Sport 4 SUV tires (265/40 ZR21 front and 295/35 ZR21 rear). The vehicle is also equipped with large drilled rotors and red Brembo brake calipers.
While official details are pending, reports suggest the Morizo RR may utilize a new generation 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo engine paired with electric motors on both axles. This hybrid system could potentially deliver a combined system output of approximately 600 horsepower. The model is expected to enter the market around 2028.
