Lexus Trestles Pro resumes in California after swell delay
The Lexus Trestles Pro, part of the World Surf League (WSL) Championship Tour, is set to resume competition at Lower Trestles, California, following a four-day hiatus caused by a lack of swell.
Forecasts indicate a new swell with 18-second intervals is expected to arrive, with conditions predicted to improve from Wednesday afternoon through the weekend. The competition will restart with the remaining heats of the women’s Round 1, followed by the men’s Round 2.
Key competitors include Brazilian surfer Italo Ferreira, currently second in the world rankings, who faces Eli Hanneman in Round 2. Japanese surfers Kanoa Igarashi and Connor O'Leary are also scheduled to debut in Round 2. The event is a critical stage in the season as athletes fight for positioning in the final rankings.
