LFA Bat Protection NRW announces 32nd annual conference

The 32nd annual meeting of the LFA Bat Protection NRW is scheduled to take place on November 14, 2025, in Königswinter, Germany. Held at the Zehntscheune of the former Heisterbach Abbey, the event is organized by the Bonn Working Group for Bat Protection (BAFF) and supported by the Nature and Environmental Protection Academy NRW (NUA).

The conference is open to both experts and newcomers at no cost. The program includes presentations on habitat protection for forest bats by NABU NRW and discussions regarding winter activity in pipistrelles. Other topics include developments in new bat winter quarters in Coesfeld and methods for protecting bats during building renovations.
