LFoundry Avezzano workers warn of job losses as contracts expire
Workers at the LFoundry plant in Avezzano are raising alarms regarding their job security as contract expirations approach. Approximately 90 agency workers, some of whom have been with the facility for up to 20 years, are currently under a 100% solidarity contract that has effectively excluded them from production since January 1, 2025.
The workers expressed frustration following a recent meeting at the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), claiming their specific employment issues were not addressed. With commercial contracts with the staffing agency set to expire in December, there is significant concern that these long-term employees will face permanent job loss. The workers are calling for an urgent institutional dialogue to establish a stabilization plan and recognize their years of service.
