ASUS launches ROG Strix OLED gaming monitor with dual 240 Hz/480 Hz modes

ASUS released the ROG Strix OLED XG32UQWMS, a 31.5‑inch gaming monitor built on LG Display’s fifth‑generation Tandem WOLED panel. The screen offers a dual‑mode switch between 4K @ 240 Hz for high‑quality visuals and Full‑HD @ 480 Hz for ultra‑smooth competitive play, with peak brightness of 1 500 nits, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, 99.5 % DCI‑P3 colour coverage and a price of 5 999 CNY (about US$882). A related ASUS launch, the 34‑inch ROG Strix OLED XG34WCDMS ultrawide monitor, uses a Samsung‑made fifth‑gen Tandem OLED panel, runs at 280 Hz and 1 300 nits, and is priced near €840. ASUS also announced a 32‑inch 4K‑WOLED model retailing around €760.

LG introduced several new OLED displays. The UltraGear Evo AI 27GM950B, a 27‑inch 5K panel with 165 Hz refresh, AI upscaling, HDR 1000 and a price of €1 208, became available in Italy. LG’s StanbyME 2 Max is a portable 32‑inch 4K personal screen with a built‑in battery, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and AI‑driven picture and sound processing. Finally, LG launched the Wallpaper‑TV W6 series in Germany, offering 77‑ and 83‑inch ultra‑thin OLED TVs with 4K resolution, 165 Hz refresh, Dolby Vision IQ, AI‑powered webOS and a price around €5 000‑6 500, with a €500 cashback promotion.
