LG and WIBR announce WIBRCUP women's Counter-Strike tournament

LG Electronics and WIBR have announced the WIBRCUP, an online women's Counter-Strike championship scheduled to take place from October 1 to October 11, 2026. The tournament will feature eight participating teams following an open qualifying process via the Gamers Club platform.

The competition offers a total prize pool of R$ 10,000, with R$ 3,000 designated for the first-place winner. Beyond gameplay, the initiative aims to increase female representation in esports broadcasting. Tris Mara will serve as the narrator, while a commentator will be selected through the WIBR talent pool to provide opportunities for women working behind the scenes.

This partnership reinforces LG's presence in the competitive gaming scene, building on its existing relationship with the organization MIBR, which maintains a female Counter-Strike team.
