LG Chem targets Asian markets with sustainable packaging film at Tokyo Pack 2026

LG Chem is participating in Tokyo Pack 2026, a major packaging industry exhibition in Japan, to expand its presence in the Japanese and Asian markets. The company is highlighting its ultra-thin monomaterial packaging film, branded as ‘UNIQABLE™’.

UNIQABLE™ is a 12μm polyethylene (PE) film that maintains the physical properties of traditional composite materials while significantly increasing recyclability due to its single-material composition. The technology is being applied to various sectors, including food, pet food, and household goods.

At the exhibition, LG Chem is showcasing practical applications of this technology, such as snack and candy packaging developed in collaboration with Crown Confectionery. The company aims to position itself as a partner for customers transitioning to sustainable packaging solutions through technical consultations and customized material applications.
