LG CNS to deploy quadruped security robots at Tower Palace

LG CNS has entered into a business agreement with Tower PMC, a premium residential management specialist, to deploy quadruped security robots at the Tower Palace complex in Seoul. The partnership aims to commercialize Physical AI within high-end residential environments.

Over the next two months, the companies will conduct technical verification at the Tower Palace site, with the goal of beginning full operations in the fourth quarter of this year. The robots will be trained on site-specific data, including walking paths, common areas, and underground parking lots, to recognize anomalies such as falls, fires, or high temperatures in electric vehicle charging stations.

The deployment utilizes LG CNS’s Robotics Transformation (RX) platform, ‘PhysicalWorks’. This includes ‘PhysicalWorks Forge’ for data learning and ‘PhysicalWorks Baton’ for integrated control and management. This platform is expected to reduce the deployment time for robots from several months to just one or two months. Future plans include developing autonomous collaboration between different types of robots, such as security robots requesting cleaning robots to handle detected waste.
