LG Display WOLED cumulative sales surpass 50 million units

LG Display has announced that its cumulative sales of large-scale White Organic Light Emitting Diode (WOLED) panels have exceeded 50 million units. This milestone comes 13 years after the company began mass-producing large OLED TV panels in 2013.

Since reaching 10 million units in 2020, sales have accelerated significantly, growing from 20 million in 2021 and 30 million in 2023 to the current 50 million mark. The company has led the market by expanding panel sizes and resolutions, including the production of 88-inch 8K and 97-inch OLED TV panels.

LG Display is now expanding its WOLED application beyond the television market into the gaming monitor sector, utilizing fast response times and proprietary Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) technology. The company plans to further diversify its portfolio by targeting the office and professional monitor markets to strengthen its competitive advantage.
