LG Electronics and TCL launch advanced microLED and Mini LED display solutions

LG Electronics announced the MAGNIT MicroLED LMPB series, a modular tiled signage system designed for control‑room environments such as network operation centers, security hubs and traffic‑management facilities. The displays offer a 40,000:1 contrast ratio, deep blacks and precise colour, with pixel pitches of 0.78, 0.93 and 1.25 mm. LG highlights its Line‑to‑Dot (LTD) technology, which confines any pixel defect to an isolated dot rather than an entire line, reducing visual disruption in high‑uptime settings.

TCL introduced its SQD‑Mini LED (Super Quantum Dot Mini LED) display technology to the South African market. The flagship TVs target premium home‑entertainment users, delivering up to 10,000 nits peak brightness, 20,736 local dimming zones and full BT.2020 colour‑space coverage. The system uses a refined blue LED backlight with quantum‑dot enhancement and TCL’s Ultra Colour Filter to improve colour gamut by 33 % and quantum‑dot accuracy by 69 % over previous generations. Additional features include Bang & Olufsen‑tuned audio, anti‑glare glass and durability without burn‑in risk.
