LG Electronics enters India's chest freezer market

LG Electronics India Limited (LGEIL) has expanded its refrigeration portfolio by entering the chest freezer market in India. The company launched a new range of Convertible Chest Freezers designed for both home consumption and commercial sectors, including retail, HoReCa (hotels, restaurants, and cafes), dairy, ice cream, pharma, and food storage.

The new lineup includes six models across four gross capacities: 102L, 205L, 315L, and 530L. The range is divided into PRO and PLUS series. The PRO series features one-touch convertible operation, allowing users to switch between chilling and deep-freezing modes within a temperature range of −31°C to +10°C. The PLUS series utilizes knob-based temperature control with a range of −25°C to +5°C.

To improve energy efficiency, select models, specifically the 315L and 530L PRO variants, have received the latest BEE 5-star (2026) rating. Other technical features include 70mm PUF-insulated cabinets, UV-protected bodies, and digital temperature displays on PRO models. Prices for the range in India start at Rs. 28,990 for the 102L PRO model and go up to Rs. 62,990 for the 530L PRO model.
