LG Electronics expands energy-efficient and space-saving appliances at IFA 2026
LG Electronics is expanding its high-efficiency technologies and space-saving solutions at IFA 2026. The company is moving advanced energy-saving features beyond premium models to a broader range of appliances to make high-level performance more accessible to more households.
In its laundry category, LG is introducing machines that exceed Grade A energy requirements by up to 70% for washing machines and up to 30% for washer-dryer combos. These improvements are driven by Direct Drive motor technology and precise inverter control. Additionally, the Dual Inverter Heat Pump™ technology is being utilized in dryers to recycle heat and reduce energy consumption.
LG is also showcasing its ‘Fit & Max Solution’ at the event. Originally applied to refrigerators, this approach is being extended to washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers. The solution aims to address the trend of compact living spaces in Europe by allowing appliances to integrate seamlessly into homes without compromising capacity or performance, utilizing specialized door and hinge mechanisms to minimize gaps and protrusions.
