LG Electronics expands Fit & Max appliance concept

LG Electronics is expanding its ‘Fit & Max’ design philosophy to a broader ecosystem of home appliances, including washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers, to be showcased at IFA 2026. The concept, built on the pillars of ‘Fit Space’ and ‘Max Life,’ aims to address the needs of smaller living spaces by balancing compact external dimensions with high internal capacity and performance.

Under the ‘Fit Space’ principle, appliances utilize specialized hinges and mounting systems to integrate seamlessly into cabinetry without wasted space or protruding edges. The ‘Max Life’ principle ensures that reduced footprints do not compromise functionality, energy efficiency, or user experience.

Following the success of its award-winning refrigerators, which feature ‘Zero Clearance’ hinges and ‘Thin Door’ designs, the new laundry and kitchen lines will incorporate advanced technologies. These include Inverter Direct Drive motors to reduce vibration in washing machines and AI-driven features like ‘AI Wash’ and ‘AI Dry’ to optimize fabric care and energy consumption.
