LG Electronics' Nvidia‑Certified Liquid Cooling Boosts AI Data Centers

LG Electronics announced that its 600 kW liquid‑cooling distribution unit (CDU) has received final quality certification from Nvidia, making it the first Korean company to achieve this approval. The CDU provides direct‑to‑chip cooling for high‑density AI servers, achieving temperature control to within ±0.25 °C and featuring virtual sensors, leak detection and redundant pump operation.

The certification is intended to open LG’s entry into the global AI data‑center supply chain. LG plans to extend Nvidia certification to larger‑capacity models of 1 MW, 2.5 MW and 4 MW. The company expects the AI data‑center market to grow about 26 % annually, reaching roughly $133.5 billion by 2034. LG CNS and other AI‑data‑center projects are slated to receive the certified CDUs, and LG showcased the technology at Data Center World 2026 in Washington, D.C.
