LG Electronics powers massive OLED exhibition at Seoul museum

LG Electronics has partnered with the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul to stage a large‑scale exhibition featuring the work of Korean‑American artist Kim Kristine Sun. The museum will display Sun’s installation “Stubborn Rocks, Foolhardy Battles” on a custom curved screen created by linking 72 units of 55‑inch OLED panels, forming one of the largest OLED surfaces in a cultural venue. The exhibition runs from July 31 to November 29 in the museum’s Seoul Box location, offering visitors a high‑contrast, color‑accurate viewing experience that blends technology with contemporary art.

The collaboration goes beyond sponsorship, with LG involved in the planning, spatial design, and technical implementation to faithfully render the artist’s visual language, which reinterprets American Sign Language movements and classic cartoon motion lines as visual grammar.
