LG Electronics recruits R&D talent in US for AI and robotics
LG Electronics held its ‘North America Tech Conference’ in San Francisco to recruit high-level R&D talent, including doctoral researchers and experienced professionals from major tech companies and startups. The event drew approximately 100 attendees from prestigious institutions such as Stanford, Harvard, MIT, and UC Berkeley.
CEO Jaechul Ryu emphasized the company’s commitment to technical expertise, stating, “LG Electronics is a company where technical experts can grow into core leaders who lead the company’s future.” The company is focusing its growth strategies on ‘Physical AI,’ which includes robotics, AI data center cooling solutions, and mobility platforms such as AI-defined vehicles (AIDV) and software-defined vehicles (SDV).
LG Electronics aims to leverage its existing strengths in home appliances, OLED TVs, and telematics to expand into these new sectors. The company plans to build a robust ecosystem through vertical integration with group affiliates and robotics subsidiaries, alongside strategic partnerships with global big tech firms.
