LG Electronics unveils ThinQ Claw AI agent at IFA 2026

At IFA 2026 in Berlin, LG Electronics introduced ‘ThinQ Claw’, an advanced AI agent designed to enhance the smart home experience. Building upon the existing ‘ThinQ On’ hub, ThinQ Claw utilizes Large Language Models (LLM) to allow users to interact with their home appliances through external messaging apps like KakaoTalk and Telegram.

The AI agent can proactively suggest actions based on user routines, such as adjusting indoor temperatures or air quality upon arrival, or managing energy-saving modes during vacations. To ensure security and user control, LG employs a ‘Human In The Loop’ approach, meaning the AI proposes actions but requires user consent before execution.

LG also showcased its ‘Fit & Max’ solution aimed at the European market, which features appliances designed for compact kitchens. Additionally, the company demonstrated its home robot, ‘LG CLOID’, which can orchestrate various appliances to showcase integrated AI home solutions.
