LG Electronics volunteers improve education facilities in Myanmar

LG Electronics’ Life’s Good volunteer group is conducting a five-day service project at the Takeda Education Center in Yangon, Myanmar, from September 7 to 11. This marks the second consecutive year the company has returned to the center, which provides educational programs and regional development projects for low-income youth.

Approximately 30 employees and four university students from the company’s ESG Academy are participating in the initiative. The volunteers are working to establish vocational training practice areas and rest facilities within the center’s new building. Additional tasks include painting the interior and exterior of the building, creating murals, and constructing an external fence.

In addition to infrastructure improvements, the group is preparing 400 kits containing daily necessities, such as rice and toothpaste, to be distributed to low-income households in the surrounding area. LG Electronics has been conducting overseas volunteer activities in emerging Asian markets since 2019.
