LG expands AI footprint through NVIDIA robotics partnership and Machineflows investment
LG and NVIDIA are deepening their robotics cooperation through the establishment of a Data Factory at the LG research campus in Seoul. By the end of 2026, the facility aims to generate approximately 100,000 hours of real and synthetic training data for robots. This initiative utilizes NVIDIA technologies, including Omniverse, Cosmos, and Isaac, to accelerate LG’s Physical AI strategy and facilitate the transition from industrial robots to household robots like the CLOiD model.
In a separate strategic move, LG Electronics has participated in a seed funding round for Machineflows, an AI startup specializing in enterprise coding agents. Machineflows, which emerged from an in-house venture program via Studio341, utilizes a ‘Logic Graph’ to help developers plan and delegate complex programming tasks. This investment highlights LG’s broader focus on integrating advanced AI across both hardware robotics and software development processes.
