LG HelloVision expands community support program to 2,000 households
LG HelloVision is expanding its ‘Maum Nanum Package’ social contribution program, aiming to support 2,000 vulnerable households by the end of the year. The initiative focuses on regional coexistence by purchasing goods from local small business owners, traditional markets, and young farmers within the company’s cable TV service areas to create essential item packages for those in need.
The program has already begun its autumn rollout in regions including Goheung and Sinan in Jeonnam, and Wonju in Gangwon Province. In Goheung, food packages containing new harvest rice and seasonal fruits were delivered to 100 households. In Sinan, seasonal kimchi and side dishes were provided to 120 elderly individuals living alone and basic livelihood security recipients. In Wonju, local agricultural products and daily necessities were distributed to 100 households in collaboration with the Wonju General Social Welfare Center.
The support will continue in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province, where packages will be provided to 100 households, including the visually impaired at the Haemil Library. By the end of this year, the cumulative number of households supported through this program since 2020 is expected to exceed 12,000.
