LG Twins defeat Lotte Giants in extra innings to extend third-place pursuit

The LG Twins secured a 4-3 extra-inning victory against the Lotte Giants at Sajik Baseball Stadium, keeping their hopes for a third-place finish alive in the KBO League. The win, achieved in the 10th inning, was driven by a decisive RBI infield single from Song Chan-eui, which brought in pinch-runner Choi Won-young.

LG's Moon Jeong-bin delivered a standout performance, recording five hits in a single game and contributing two RBIs. Despite a late-game surge by Lotte in the bottom of the 9th inning that tied the score at 3-3, LG pitcher Lee Woo-chan managed to hold the lead in the final frame to earn the win.

On the individual side, Lotte's Victor Reyes set a new KBO League single-season record by recording his 205th hit of the season, surpassing the previous record of 204 held by Choi Won-jun. With this result, LG maintains its fourth-place standing and remains within 0.5 games of third-place KIA Tigers.
