LG Twins to honor Lim Chan-kyu’s 100th win with family ceremonial pitch

The LG Twins baseball club has announced that the family of pitcher Lim Chan-kyu will participate in ceremonial activities during upcoming home games at Jamsil Baseball Stadium. To celebrate Lim’s achievement of becoming the first pitcher in club history to record 100 wins solely as an LG Twins player, his mother, Kim Yu-jin, will throw the first pitch, and his sister, Lim Yun-a, will serve as the batter on September 20.

The event is part of the club’s ‘Family Day’ initiative, which honors the families of players for their support throughout the season. This follows Lim’s milestone 100th win achieved on September 13 against the Samsung Lions.

Additionally, the club will host ‘Forever Jamsil Night’ on September 19, featuring a ceremonial pitch by Lee Gi-kwang of the idol group Highlight, followed by fireworks and performances. The two-day event against the Hanwha Eagles will also include commemorative photo zones and a brand collaboration pop-up store.
