LG U+ partners to provide AI and digital education
LG U+ has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Institute for Healthy Family to strengthen the digital and AI capabilities of multicultural families and single-person households. The partnership aims to bridge the digital divide by utilizing a network of 244 family centers across South Korea.
Under the agreement, the two organizations will collaborate on various initiatives, including digital literacy training, AI utilization education, and voice phishing prevention programs. LG U+ will provide IT infrastructure and educational materials, such as smart TVs, laptops, and tablets, to support the operation of digital education programs at the family centers.
The initiative follows successful pilot programs conducted in areas such as Ansan, Gwangmyeong, and Hwaseong. Based on these results, the program will expand nationwide to establish a community-centered model for digital empowerment and improve information accessibility for vulnerable populations.
