LG Uplus organizes U+119 Memorial Run for Fallen Firefighters in Sejong, South Korea

LG Uplus, in partnership with the Korea Fire Service, will hold the second U+119 Memorial Run on 17 October 2026 at Sejong Central Park. The event offers two course options—a symbolic 11.9‑km route representing fire service or a family‑friendly 5‑km route—each with a participation fee of 50,000 won, which is donated in full to the Firefighter Families Hope Sharing fund to support bereaved families.

Participants wear bibs displaying their name together with the name and date of a fallen firefighter. Before the run, a national salute is performed using AI‑generated voices that recreate the words of the late fire chief Kim Soo‑kwang and firefighter Park Dan‑bi. The inaugural run in 2025 attracted about 2,000 members of the public and 300 fire‑family members, and LG Uplus pledges to continue supporting such remembrance and social‑value activities.
