LGBTIQ+ Pride marches organized in Rosario and Quilmes
LGBTIQ+ communities in Rosario and Quilmes, Argentina, are organizing Pride marches to advocate for rights and visibility.
In Rosario, organizers expect over 100,000 participants. The event will feature the ‘Feria Orgullosa’ with over 200 local businesses, followed by a march toward the National Flag Monument. This year’s slogan, ‘¡Basta de travesticidios! ¡Ley Integral Trans Ya!’, honors Gabriela Banach and calls for comprehensive trans rights. Organizers also highlighted concerns regarding national political shifts and cuts to diversity and social policies.
In Quilmes, the 10th Pride March will take place on October 3. The event includes cultural performances, music, and a local entrepreneur fair. Municipal services will be present to provide health testing for HIV and syphilis, as well as information regarding diversity programs and social assistance.
