LGBTQ Community Events Planned in Houston and Washington, DC for Early August

In Houston, Texas, a series of LGBTQ‑focused activities run from August 1 through early August, including the city‑wide Restaurant Weeks fundraiser for the Houston Food Bank, a monthly queer climbers meetup, a production of “ActOUT: The Girl on the Train” at the Alley Theatre, DJ Joe Pacheco’s debut at South Beach, a free outdoor “Unicorn: The Coloring Picnic,” the play “A Nice Indian Boy,” an LGBTQ‑friendly wedding expo, and a PFLAG Houston general meeting.
