LGBTQ+ community events scheduled in Houston and Washington, D.C

Various LGBTQ+ community events are scheduled across Houston and Washington, D.C., between late August and early September 2026.

In Houston, Houston Restaurant Weeks features approximately 350 restaurants serving prix fixe menus to benefit the Houston Food Bank through September 7. Local nightlife events include a comedy drag show at Michael’s Outpost, steak night and drag bingo at Pearl Bar, and a hosting event by Mistress Isabelle Brooks at South Beach Houston featuring RuPaul’s Drag Race participants.

In the Washington, D.C. area, Go Gay DC is organizing community happy hours and brunches. Other scheduled activities include a virtual trans discussion group, a drag brunch at Nellie’s Sports Bar, and a coffee klatch for older LGBTQ+ adults. The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center will also host a resource and feedback session, while a weekly job support program will be available via Zoom.
