LGBTQIA+ Pride parades scheduled in Rio Branco and Montes Claros

Various LGBTQIA+ Pride parades are scheduled to take place in Brazil. In Rio Branco, the State Secretariat of Justice and Public Security (Sejusp) has announced security restrictions for the 20th Pride Parade. To prevent accidents and conflicts during large crowds, attendees will be prohibited from entering the event with coolers or glass bottles. Security officials stated that these measures aim to mitigate risks associated with broken glass or containers being used in confrontations.

In Montes Claros, the 21st LGBTQIA+ Pride Parade will be held on Avenida Deputado Esteves Rodrigues. Organized by the NGOs Movimento LGBTQIAPN+ do Gerais (MGG) and Arco-Íris do Amor, the event features the slogan ‘Diversity that transforms. Pride that strengthens.’ The parade includes various artistic performances and aims to promote awareness regarding rights and public policies.
