LGT Capital Partners appoints Sascha Gruber as CEO
LGT Capital Partners, an alternative investment manager with over US$120 billion in assets under management, has announced the appointment of Sascha Gruber as Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1. Gruber, who joined the firm in 2002, succeeds Roberto Paganoni. Paganoni will transition to a role on the firm’s group board.
Gruber has held various leadership positions within the company, including roles on the executive committee and multiple investment committees. He is credited with contributing to the development of the firm’s private markets business, specifically its secondaries strategy, and expanding its international presence.
The Liechtenstein-linked firm manages assets for more than 750 institutional investors through approximately 1,000 professionals across 16 offices. Under the long-term ownership of the Princely Family of Liechtenstein, the firm intends to maintain its current investment strategies and continue committing its own capital alongside its clients.
