LHC Cottbus defeats HSV Insel Usedom to remain league leaders

LHC Cottbus maintained its position at the top of the Regionalliga Ostsee-Spree after defeating HSV Insel Usedom 28:25 in an away match. With this victory, Cottbus remains undefeated with 8:0 points.

The game began competitively, with Cottbus establishing an early lead through strong defensive play and goalkeeping from Filip Hancic. While Usedom mounted a comeback in the second half to close the gap to a single goal, two-minute suspensions against Usedom players allowed Cottbus to extend their lead.

Despite a late surge by the home team, Cottbus managed to secure the win following a timeout by coach Bennett Speed. Top scorers for the visiting side included Nicola Kuhlmey with six goals, alongside Hannes Knecht and Lukasz Orlich, who contributed four goals each.
