Li Auto i6 achieves 811 km in range test

Li Auto has completed a real-world range test for its 2026 i6 electric SUV, recording a distance of 811.4 kilometers on a single 96 kWh battery charge. The test, which was broadcast via livestream, lasted 18 hours and resulted in an average energy consumption of 11.8 kWh per 100 kilometers.

The testing took place around Lake Tai in the Yangtze River Delta under mild ambient temperatures between 13 and 20 degrees Celsius. The vehicle carried four passengers, luggage, and an additional 50 kg of equipment, with the air conditioning running continuously throughout the journey. The driving was conducted primarily in urban settings with speed limits ranging from 40 to 80 km/h.

While the result exceeds the manufacturer's CLTC rating of 780 km by approximately 4 percent and the WLTP rating of 640 km by nearly 27 percent, the conditions were highly favorable for energy efficiency. The performance may differ significantly during highway driving or in colder climates. At the conclusion of the 811.4 km trek, the battery displayed 0 percent capacity, though the manufacturer noted the vehicle remained operational at limited speeds.
