Li Auto launches new L6 Ultra SUV with 51kWh battery and AI chip
On July 16, Li Auto unveiled the next‑generation L6 Ultra SUV. Priced at 24.98 million yuan, it is equipped with a 51 kWh iron‑phosphate battery that provides up to 300 km of electric range and a combined 1,250 km endurance. The vehicle supports fast charging from 20 % to 80 % in just 12 minutes, delivers 260 kW peak power and can tow a half‑ton trailer even with low battery.
The L6 Ultra incorporates Li Auto’s in‑house Mach M100 AI processor delivering 1,280 TOPS, seven 8‑MP cameras, lidar, millimetre‑wave radar and a UWB near‑field sensing system. Mechanical upgrades include a full‑aluminium suspension, dual‑valve continuously variable damping that cuts body roll by 30 %, and an all‑electric door system. Li Auto’s network of 4,100 self‑built super‑charging stations backs the model. The previous‑generation L6 sold about 400,000 units, and CEO Li Xiang says the new version extends the “long board” while eliminating the “short board.”
