Li Auto prepares launch and delivery for 2026 i6 model

Li Auto is preparing for the official launch of the 2026 i6 on October 28, following a live teardown event intended to demonstrate the vehicle's design and component quality. CEO Li Xiang emphasized that the company avoids “quick-fix” manufacturing, highlighting that the new model utilizes the self-developed Lianshan battery, which integrates materials, cells, and battery packs designed entirely by Li Auto.

In recent range testing around Taihu Lake, a rear-wheel-drive version of the 2026 i6 achieved a real-world range of 811.4 kilometers on a 96 kWh battery, exceeding its CLTC rating by 4%. The vehicle supports 5C ultra-fast charging, capable of adding 500 kilometers of range in 10 minutes. To address consumer concerns, the company introduced a battery guarantee plan covering vehicle replacement in specific fire-related scenarios.

Technical specifications for the 2026 model include an all-aluminum suspension, dual-chamber air springs, and continuous variable damping shock absorbers. The vehicle is scheduled to begin national deliveries on October 29, with a purchasing guide expected to be released ahead of the launch.
