Li Mi announces miscarriage of sixth child

Taiwanese media personality Li Mi, 42, has announced the miscarriage of her sixth child. After previously relying on IVF to conceive her five existing children, Li Mi had recently shared the news of her first natural pregnancy in August, describing it as a “beautiful accident.”

Following a prenatal checkup in mid-September, doctors were unable to detect a fetal heartbeat. Despite seeking a second opinion at another clinic to maintain hope, subsequent examinations confirmed that the fetus had ceased development at approximately eight weeks. Li Mi noted that the loss was likely due to chromosomal or developmental abnormalities.

To commemorate the loss, Li Mi shared that she wrote a letter on the back of an ultrasound photo, burned it to ashes, and placed the ashes in a desert rose plant. She expressed her intention to recover physically and emotionally before attempting to conceive again.
